Interview assignment.

Topic: School Uniforms

The school board has decided to create a district wide policy of enforcing school uniforms. Who would you need to interview to find out more information about this topic? What are some good questions to ask? (This is theoretical)

1. List three different sources you could interview for this topic.
A school security guard.

The school principal.
The superintendent
2. Create 20 questions you could ask each source and post them on your blog. It will be the same 20 questions for each, so you only have to think of 20 total questions.

What is your reasoning behind the decision on the uniforms?

What are some negative impacts associated with the uniform?

How might the uniform look like?

What are you going to do in the event that a student uprising occurs?

How do you think parents will feel about having to care for a uniform for their child?

Where will you hide in the event something terrible happens?

Why would you do something as big as require a uniform?

How will the policy be enforced?

Why are uniforms a necessity to education?

How will the students feel about this decision?

Would the students approve of this decision?

Would parents approve of this decisions?

How would you feel if you were a student?

What will happen in response to the decision?

How will you respond to the opinions in this decision?

What will happen in the schools?

How will it happen?

Why would the uniform be the way it is?

Are there differences in gender?

Why would there be differences in gender? (if any)

Imagine you are working, as a reporter, for the school newspaper and your editor gives you the assignment to interview the student of the month.

1. Please come up with 20 questions you could ask them and post them on your blog in a separate post called "Student of the Month Interview."

How do you feel about being student of the month?

How did you achieve this?

Do you like this or not?

What will you do with your newfound fame?

What do your parents think of you?

Do you feel proud of yourself?

Why would you want to achieve student of the month?

Why do you like/dislike this?

Would you try to get it next month?

Why would you try to get it again? (if you do)

Do you approve of the decision of you being student of the month?

Why is this important to you?

Do you feel like you accomplished something?

Are you surprised to be the student of the month?

If you were striving to be student of the month, how does it feel to finally be it?

What was your goal to become student of the month?

Is it awesome?

How do your peers feel about you being student of the month?

Are your parents proud of your accomplishment?

Is this your first time? If so how does it feel to finally be student of the month?
2. You will pair up with someone next class and ask them your questions, and they will get to ask you their questions. I will assign pairs.

3. Then post the answers you got on your blog, you can post them on the same or a different post. If you use the same post as above, please use a different color, or font, or you can use regular and italics.
